Australian Company Number (ACN)

The ACN is a nine digit identifier issued by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission to a company on registration. Where a company's ABN was issued against its ACN, the last nine digits of the ABN are the ACN. Sole traders, partnerships and trusts have an ABN but no ACN. Tender documentation often asks for both.
