Answer
How do I register as a supplier on AusTender?
Registration is free at tenders.gov.au. You need an ABN, and you set up notification categories using UNSPSC codes so relevant tenders reach you by email.
AusTender registration costs nothing and you never need to pay a third party for it. You will need an active ABN and an email address. Set up your notification profile against the UNSPSC categories that match what you sell, and you will be emailed when matching approaches to market are published.
Be clear about what registration does and does not do. AusTender is a publication and lodgement system, not a supplier prequalification scheme. Registering means you see the work and can lodge a response. It does not make you approved, prequalified, or eligible for anything on its own.
The eligibility that matters comes from elsewhere: the conditions for participation in each specific approach to market, and membership of the panels an agency is obliged to buy from. Treat AusTender registration as step one of several, not as the finish line.
