PGPA Act

The finance law that Commonwealth procurement sits under.

The Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 is the framework governing how Commonwealth entities use and manage public resources. The Commonwealth Procurement Rules are issued under it, and it is the source of the distinction between non-corporate Commonwealth entities, which are legally part of the Commonwealth, and corporate Commonwealth entities, which are separate legal persons. That distinction determines which procurement threshold applies.
